Keep your knowledge up to date

Re-read your website, change which pages are included, and edit or delete what the AI knows.

Answers are only as current as your knowledge. Here's how to keep it that way.

Re-read your website

  • On a schedule: websites added with Auto-recrawl on are re-read daily, weekly or monthly. Open the source to see Auto re-sync and Last synced.
  • Right now: open the website from Knowledge Base and click Re-sync.

After a re-read, Last sync changes shows how many pages changed, were added or were removed. Pages that no longer exist on your site are removed.

A website that hasn't been re-read for more than 30 days shows a Stale Content notice.

Change which pages are included

Open the website from Knowledge Base and click the pencil (Edit pages). Tick or untick pages, then click Save & Re-crawl.

Edit a page's text

Open the website, expand a page and edit its text. Your version is protected: later re-reads won't overwrite it. Use this when a page says something you don't want the AI to repeat and you can't change the site right away.

Edit a file or text entry

Open it from Knowledge Base, edit it, and click Save. The AI answers from the new version right away.

Delete

  • A whole source: open it and delete it. Everything it taught the AI is removed. This can't be undone.
  • One page of a website: open the website, find the page and click the bin icon.

Quick changes without editing anything

For something temporary or urgent ("closed on Monday", "this product is delayed"), tell the Internal Agent instead. A business note takes effect right away and wins over your website. See Tell the AI what changed.
